Samsung has announced it is joining hands with Absolute Software to boost the security capabilities of its newest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S4.
The electronics giant is set to debut a new enterprise security platform called Samsung Knox with its soon-to-land fourth-generation kit, which will allow users to access the Absolute Computrace console to "remotely track, manage and secure" their handsets in the event of theft or loss.
S4 owners will also be able to switch between personal and business modes, similar to BlackBerry Balance on BlackBerry 10, enabling them to protect the privacy of sensitive content, while providing businesses with the ability to safeguard corporate data and monitor status of company handsets using a persistent connection.
John Livingstone, CEO of Absolute Software, said: "We are excited to partner with the global mobile industry leader, Samsung, to provide enterprise mobility management and theft protection solutions for their devices.
"With Samsung, the leading provider of smartphones and Android tablets, we are extending Absolute's patented persistence technology across the full spectrum of smart connected mobile services."

The Samsung Galaxy S4 will launch on April 26th and is currently available to pre-order on all major networks and retailers in the UK.
